First of all, successful real estate professionals have a strong understanding of their local housing market. They appreciate and utilize the nuances that make the community's housing market and pricing strategy unique. Local expertise differentiates successful agents from the competition.

Secondly, to be successful in real estate you need a strong network of connections. You need a comprehensive list of connections including other agents and brokers, potential buyers and sellers, as well as appraisers, home inspectors and mortgage loan officers.

Finally, you need a thirst for knowledge to be a successful real estate pro. You must stay up to date on the latest topics in real estate and in your local market. Continuing education, professional development, both give you an opportunity to expand your business options and stay at the forefront of the real estate field.
