Florida Community Association Manager Requirements
Requirements to obtain a Community Association Manager License:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Receive approval of your state application
- Complete a state approved 16-hour course
- Pass a state examination
- You do not need to be a Florida resident
State Application and Testing Process
Requirements to Obtain a Broker’s License:
- Complete the 16-hour Licensing Course
- Completion slips are issued upon completion of the course. You must include your completion slip with your state application.
- Fill out State Application
- You can submit the application in two ways:
- You must submit evidence of successful completion of the required education with your application. It will take 6-8 weeks on average for the state to process and approve your application.
- Check the status of your application by clicking here
- Submit Fingerprints
- An applicant must have a background check as part of the licensing process. You must submit your fingerprints using a Live Scan Provider.
- Pass the State Exam
- Before you can take the state exam, the state must approve your application for licensure.

- The state exam is a 100-question multiple choice test with a passing score of 75%.
- If you fail the exam, you may take the exam again upon submission of the reexamination application.
