Pre Licensing Requirements

Complete 80 hours of education via classroom or online

Take the National Home Inspector Examination https://nationalhomeinspectorexam.org/ and provide proof with application

Provide listing of previous licensure as Home Inspector

Provide background check from the NH Division of Police

Proof of liability insurance coverage

Provide all additional information requested on application

Continuing Education Requirements

Licensees must complete 20 continuing education hours within biennial renewal period

One hour of CE per biennial renewal must be on any recent revisions to building regulations

All course pertaining to building technologies, best and worst construction practices, new construction technologies and system installation practices will qualify as the one hour of CE required for recent revisions to building regulations
