Advance Your Career with Professional Development
Currently, Texas does not have reciprocity with any state. Reciprocity between states means you may not be required to get a new real estate license to perform transactions in another state.
The cost to obtain your license in Texas includes your education, which can be anywhere from $400–$700; a $43 exam fee; a $150 application fee; and a background check/fingerprinting fee that ranges from $39.75.
Agents may renew their license up to six months after their expiration date. After six months and up to two years past expiration, agents must apply for reinstatement.
