8-Hour Closer Prelicense Online Video Course

This entry level course not only completely satisfies the Minnesota 8-Hour Real Estate Closer education requirement it also introduces you to the basic principles of real estate. You will learn how only deeds have the power to convey real property ownership, and how title search and insurance are done and paid for. In addition, you will learn the difference between typical encumbrances on a property and those that can stop a closing in its tracks.

Proctored Final Exam: The Minnesota Department of Commerce requires a proctored final exam for your licensing course. You will need to arrange for a proctor, who is someone who will make sure you take the test without outside assistance. Your exam must be proctored by a disinterested third party (at least 18 years of age) with no financial or emotional interest in your passing the exam. Your supervisor, a subordinate, a family member, or a fellow student completing the same course may not serve as your exam proctor. If you are unable to secure a disinterested third party to proctor your final exam, Kaplan offers Virtual Classroom Proctoring for a $29 per-session fee.
