Colorado Licensing Information, Reciprocity, and Portability
Reciprocity
- Available for all 50 states after passing the Colorado state exam.
Note: Agents who are licensed for less than 2 years in another state are required to take additional education. - The most common states where Colorado agents are also licensed are Utah, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, and Florida
- Steps to Real Estate License Reciprocity in Colorado
- 1. Pass the Colorado law portion of the exam.
- 2. Provide a certified license history.
- 3. Complete fingerprinting and background checks.
- Colorado real estate license reciprocity states include availability for all 50 states, making it a highly modular license.
Military Portability
- Eligible military spouses can apply for a 3-year, nonrenewable temporary license.
- The applicant must hold a valid and current license in another state or territory and be in good standing.
- No fees will be charged for the issuance of this temporary license.
